Work packageWP5 — Development, sustainable development and the socioecological transitions
ObjectivesThe objective is to work on the levers that are mobilized by citizen and local NGOs in very different contexts, in order to defend ecological restoration programs or spontaneous rewilding. The project aims to evaluate the elements that explain the success or failure of these approaches, and more broadly the changes that these initiatives generate within socio-ecosystems, with regard to interactions between humans and non-humans.
Expected resultsThe research will develop (i) an interdisciplinary theoretical framework to understand the conditions of effective ecological restoration or spontaneous rewilding, (ii) a series of case-studies, (iii) a typology of these case studies.
